The deadline for session proposals for the 2015 College Art Association Annual Conference (to be held in New York from February 11-14, 2015) is September 3, 2013. As a CAA-affiliated society, JAHF is now accepting applications for JAHF sponsorship of sessions.

Members planning to chair a session concerning Japanese art who wish to have it considered for sponsorship should submit their application by email by August 1, 2013 to Monika Dix, JAHF Vice-President, at mdix@svsu.edu. Results will be announced by August 22.

Applications should include the following information:
  • Session title
  • Session abstract
  • Session category
  • Name, affiliation and CV of chair(s)
Information regarding CAA session categories and submission guidelines, etc. may be found on the CAA website.

Please note that session chair(s) must be both CAA and JAHF members, and that selection for JAHF sponsorship is not a guarantee of acceptance by CAA. To see sessions sponsored by JAHF in the past, go to www.jahf.net (click “JAHF Info” on the sidebar, then “Annual Activities”).
