We are set to begin work on the JAHF annual (actually every two-year) bibliography, so this is the first call for your art history publications for 2011 and 2012.

Please send your bibliographic information to Lee Butler–here are guidelines for doing so: First, be sure to send only relevant information, i.e., publications on the art history of Japan, in languages other than Japanese, with full bibliographic data.  In other words, we’ve decided not to include any publications in Japanese, regardless of who produced them.

Second, since a significant amount of the work on this end consists of placing books and articles in the appropriate bibliographic categories, it makes sense to ask you to list what you think are appropriate categories for each of your publications.  Accordingly, please spend a few minutes examining the earlier bibliographies to see where your work should be placed.  As you think about categories for your work, keep in mind that we want to place publications within every category appropriate to them, not just in one that summarizes the subject; we encourage duplication.

Also, we welcome corrections or additions to the earlier bibliographies, since updating those on the web site is readily done.

Many thanks.
