The conference entitled Japonisme in Global and Local Context will take place March 2-3 2017, at the Castle Garden Bazaar in Budapest, Hungary. The program will begin at 9AM and end at 6PM both days, with short coffee breaks and a one hour break for lunch.
Within the two days of the conference, you will receive a guided tour of the accompanying exhibition, Geishas by the Danube; The Impact of Japanese Culture on Hungarian Art, and will have free admission to the exhibition throughout the duration of your stay. A booklet of abstracts from all participating speakers will be published and available at the conference to both speakers and audience members. To be included within this publication, please send a 1,000 character abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org by January 29th. We ask you to indicate permission to print your contact information alongside your abstract. If you permit it, please include the name of your affiliated institution and your email address of preference within your final abstract submission.
Additionally, we kindly remind you that a final essay of your lecture will be requested in April 2017 for publication in the Japonisme in Global and Local Context conference volume of proceedings.
